1. Introduction
NS 8415 Chapter II “Subcontractor's benefits” contains eight provisions that impose requirements on the subcontractor during the construction phase.
NS 8417 also has such provisions collected in Chapter IV “TUE's performance of work under the contract”. In addition, a few provisions concerning transport (paragraphs 12 and 13) and the use of contract assistants (paragraph 10) have been added to Chapter II.
Although NS 8416 has a simpler structure without chapter division, this standard also contains provisions on most of the topics such as NS 8415 and NS 8417.
Exceptions are provision for transportation and subcontractor engineering.
2. Overview of the rules
This table is based on NS 8415. However, we start from NS 8417 since this is the contract standard that we experience is most frequently used today.
In experience, not all provisions create challenges for the parties, and our focus is on those that most often raise questions.
